Are Pig ears safe for dogs?

This popular treat for dogs is safe for dogs. There were a couple of cases of people got infected by salmonella. And that is why you should always wash your hands if you have touched pig ears or any other treat that contains mean. Do not leave dog treats next to your products.

Pig ears are pretty fat, so you should not give them to dogs with excess weight and those dogs that have any problems with their liver and pancreas. Sometimes pig ears may cause diarrhea in dogs, especially if you gave too much of them to your pet. Moderation is the basic rule here.

Always watch your dog, when giving it pig ears – do not allow your pet to swallow the whole ear.
